CrewAI, the fastest growing multi-agent platform, now powers 1.4 billion agentic automations across the world’s largest enterprises, while over 60% of Fortune 500 companies are using these technologies. These aren’t isolated experiments—they’re becoming core to how businesses operate. The appeal is clear: AI agents can handle repetitive, time-consuming tasks, freeing employees to focus on the strategic, creative, and interpersonal work that only humans can truly excel at. Rather than eliminating jobs, this partnership is reshaping them, allowing teams to accomplish more ambitious goals.

A great example of this human-centered approach comes from Canva, the Australian design and collaboration platform. Canva’s co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams has revealed that more than half of the company’s software engineers are already using AI agents to build automated workflows internally. Canva is taking this further by developing what Adams describes as “proper teammates” for their users. The company’s design-focused AI agents will complete tasks such as tidying up presentation slides, doing research, and pulling statistics and audience data to help with marketing strategies. Importantly, Adams emphasized that AI-human collaboration will always be iterative, with humans editing, fine-tuning, and moving things around based on AI suggestions. This reflects a philosophy that sees AI not as a replacement for creativity and judgment, but as a capable collaborator that amplifies human potential.

As we look ahead, the future of work seems increasingly clear: it will be collaborative. Organizations that successfully implement AI agents aren’t choosing between people and technology—they’re choosing partnership. By thoughtfully integrating AI agents into their workflows, companies like Canva are demonstrating that the most powerful outcomes come from combining the efficiency and consistency of artificial intelligence with the creativity, judgment, and emotional intelligence of human teams.
