A perfect DNS solution

A little while back a client whose DNS was managed by their web-host (I definitely do NOT recommend this) experienced a major outage. The culprit? Their host was undertaking server migrations that impacted DNS. Let's just say it did not go to plan!
After hours of trying to resolve the issue it also became apparent that their backup strategy had completely failed and the zone they restored was out of date. This is a major Australian web-host - honestly they had no excuses for this level of incompetence.
Fast forward to today, we set the client up on Cloudflare, where we host all our FlowHQ client sites DNS. They benefited from world class DNS with the additional benefit of a significant speed boost. The client rightfully asked about backups. Whilst I've never had an issue with Cloudflare it was the right question to be asking. So, over the weekend, working with Cursor I built a DNS backup solution for all of FlowHQ and our clients. This is a fully redundant and, even better, version-controlled backup strategy. All housed in our GitHub account.
We, and our clients, benefit from the great features and performance of Cloudflare, with the peace of mind that we have a backup strategy constantly monitoring for DNS changes!
